Scared? We are, but mainly by the sheer number of spooky seasonal events taking over Beijing restaurants, bars, and hotels. No one shall be spared when your local coffee shops and familiar pubs turn into mental hospitals and haunted houses. So, what are you waiting for? Rise of the Corpses Halloween Party at Atmosphere Bar

Halloween is the perfect time of year to make all of your macabre fantasies an exciting reality. On October 31, China World Summit Wing, Beijing will take you to a Halloween theme land. A spooky Halloween party at Atmosphere Bar is awaiting you from 8pm-2am. Mad patients, sexy nurses, handsome doctors, a DJ and live band… They will lead you to their "ATM Asylum Hospital", so wear your costume and join the party! RMB 68, 8pm-2am. Moonlit Madness - Highway to Hell Halloween Party at Yin on 12

The blood will flow freely this Halloween over at Yin on 12, or more specifically, the Bloody Marys will. The New World Beijing Hotel bar has gone all out this holiday, offering free-flow Bloody Marys with entry and building a moonlit crypt brimming with ghosts, goblins, sinister sights, and devilish delights at every turn. There will also be "otherworldly performances" and DJs, face painting, and a hair-raising Halloween Lucky Draw. RMB 150, RMB 120 (advance). Oct 31 and Nov 1, 9pm-onwards. Halloween Warehouse Rave: Budx Freak Out 2019 Beijing at Arkham Club

DJs and rappers from all over China have gone missing… could they perhaps be trapped in Arkham Beijing on Halloween? All party people, freaks, and ravers are invited to join in this Evil Circus party, but only if you dare. RMB 200, RMB 160 (advance, available here). 10.30pm-late. Arkham Beijing

Underworld Paradise at Centro

Eat, drink, and be scary at Centro this Halloween. There'll be four zombie-rousing spooky cocktails for the unafraid as well as themed snacks such as the (frankly terrifying sounding) Open Face Brain Burger. Come dressed to impress and you might just go home with a prize for Best Dressed. Guest DJ Deviled will be spinning music to get you into the creepy spirit. Free. 8pm-2am. Centro (at Kerry Hotel)


Rise of the Corpses Halloween Party at Beersmith Gastropub

Beersmith invites trick or treaters to don their finest nurse and doctor scrubs (ideally slathered in blood) for a mad-house party of insane proportions. There'll also be an on-site face painter if you don't have time to get made up before the party, and in-house band Soul Shake will keep bodies moving into the early hours. Free. 7pm-2am. Tricks and Treats: Tianmi Halloween Takeover at The Orchid Hotel

Tianmi Bakery returns to The Orchid on Halloween night for an evening of sweet and spooky treats. For the occasion, Tianmi chef Olivia Nadine will cook up a haunted menu of scary-good American-style treats, including homemade meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, and red velvet cake. RMB 258. 7pm. Flipside: Disco Halloween Party at Modernista

On Friday, Nov 1, Flipside, Beijing's only live disco band, will summon the spirits of the '70s with their deadly tunes at Modernista. At midnight, get shots for only RMB 10 as the DJ injects a second dose of life into this death-fest. Free. 10pm-1am. Modernista


Day of the Dead at Migas Mercado

Migas once again teams up with Jose Cuervo to bring you a special Day of the Dead celebration. DJ Cad 73 and Jay 1, 2 will provide plenty of Latin rhythms to keep you dancing long into the night while you guzzle deadly and delicious drinks. Expect Mexican-inspired decorations, face painting, giveaways, free entrance, and lots and lots of tequila. Free. 10pm-late. Migas Mercado

Diwaloween at Side Street

Side Street gets creative this holiday, combining the festival of darkness AKA Halloween with India's Festival of Lights AKA Diwali. Expect an evening packed with Bollywood music, scary Halloween grooves, drink specials all night long, and some very interesting Halloween-Diwali mashup costumes. Free. 8pm-late. Side Street


Haus of Lily's Drag Me to Hell: The Monsters' Ball at Home Plate BBQ

What better way to celebrate the spookiest time of the year than with Haus of Lily's Drag Me to Hell Monsters' Ball. Nine queens and one king from this Halloween Haus of Horrors will give 20 jaw-rattling performances, passing through the veil and into the cryptic confines of Home Plate Sanlitun. Come in your best drag for a chance to compete and be crowned Queen of the Damned in the Drag Monsters' Ball (prizes include raw, fresh meat). Come dressed in your costume for a Spooktacular Halloween evening at Luga's! Huluween Nurse Treatment at Hulu

Step through Hulu's devilish door to experience a Huluween nurse treatment with therapy photo as proof. Hulu has created the most extensive Halloween menu that brings back those nostalgic childhood memories in grown ups.
